Alan Rickman
Alan Rickman died of cancer on January 14th, at the age of 69. The British-born actor played many memorable roles which encompassed action, fantasy and romance. Whether as the sinister Snape in Harry Potter films, cynical angel Metatron in Dogma, or the quiet suitor Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility, he brought a unique acerbic allure to the screen.
